Champion Technology Launches PeepTone™ Monitoring Solutions
under its G-SIGMA™ Family of Digital Imaging Systems
for Remote Management and Security Applications

Hong Kong (29 November 2001) - Champion Technology Holdings Limited (SEHK:092) today unveils its PeepTone™ monitoring solution under its G-SIGMA™ (Global Security Intelligent Generation Monitoring Appliances) family of innovative digital imaging systems for remote management and security applications. PeepTone™ is a rich-featured real-time digital video monitoring and recording solution that brings you fast and high-quality video of your remote businesses at your fingertips.

PeepTone™ system compresses and transmits high-resolution video signals through various communications channels, including ISDN, PSTN, mobile network, LAN, and the Internet. Each module of PeepTone™ can be connected up to 16 surveillance cameras, which can be monitored over one or multiple display units. PeepTone™ is specially designed for remote enterprise management and security applications, seamlessly combining video multiplexing, digital recording, motion detection, and motion tracking. All contents are recorded digitally on disk for future video retrieval, a significant improvement over the current tedious practice of videotape storage in terms of content management and retrieval.

According to Paul Kan, Chairman of Champion Technology, "PeepTone™ is the ideal remote video monitoring tool for multi-location enterprises including those with offshore business operations. PeepTone™ solutions will be marketed on a global scale, leveraging the Group's global footprint. The initial product, PeepTone™ ANK, is targeted for use in management of retail operation, manufacturing and warehousing operations, hospitals, unmanned and restricted premises, traffic control, and properties and buildings. Each module can be integrated with password authentication, smart card, and biometrics technology for multiple users for high degree security.

At a presentation held today which vividly demonstrated the application of PeepTone™ solutions, Champion's Vice President of Marketing, Gary Choy, explained the specifications of ANK, "This product has full capability of multiplexing for simultaneous video observation, recording, and playback. Built in with MJPEG and Wavelet compression, this network-based digital imaging systems solution provides full screen, 4,7,9, 10, 13, and 16 multiscreen display for monitoring playback. In view of the growing demand for mobility, we're developing mobile monitoring solutions to expand the remote security applications."

Last week Champion Technology launched its Mutetone™ wireless solutions targeted at muting mobile phone signals in specified and controlled areas. Mutetone™ systems and technologies are designed to manage safety, security and privacy risks associated with mobile telephones by providing a user-friendly and automated regulatory technology platform. During the five-day Innovation Expo held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre last week, the Mutetone™ products attracted a lot of media and industry interest, and coverage from Reuters and BBC was broadcast via the web.
